Press Conference

We've enjoyed a bit of a press flurry in the last few weeks. Firstly GQ, following on from Nile Rodgers'  spotlight on us in their August issue, put our cape in the October issue as "Winter's Must Have - no longer a cartoon accoutrement".

Then Women's Wear Daily, for long the pre-eminent global trade paper of the fashion industry, did a feature on us (only accessible with a subscription).

Now the Guardian is graced by Mr Wesley's photograph in the Grey Fox fashion blog.  Written for grown up gentlemen, it advises, "For those seeking more daring designs, try... the wonderful designs produced by Earl of Bedlam."

Les Fool'ards de Bedlam

We are taking pre-orders on our first series of silk scarves, neckerchiefs and pocket squares. Printed in Sussex on the finest silk crepe are portraits by Scottish artist Anna McNeil of exuberant characters who find / found untinctured life a little dull or diffuicult. The hems are hand rolled by a lady in Hull (try saying that twenty times quickly).

The characters depicted are:

Clara Bow; Errol Flynn; Zelda Fitzgerald (wife of F. Scott); Keith Richards and Syd Barrett.

The classic 90 x 90cm dimension is £250;

the 60 x 60 cm neckerchief (long enough to allow for satisfyingly floofy ends is £120;

and the 35 x 35 cm pocket squares are £50.
